Cool greenery reindeer huh? Each of Santa's reindeer were sculpted in different ways or with different professions. This one is Comet.
Rachel deemed this present a suitable size for her. Good luck Jeff and Kari with that one!
Here's a model in gingerbread of the hotel.
And there was also a life-size gingerbread house. That's a lot of candy and gingerbread!
There were plenty of things to do all revolving around Dreamworks movies. Jeff and the kiddos were getting restless as we waited in line to do the Kung Fu Panda tubing. Jonathan's head actually cracked the structure (way to go Jeff!). Sadly, I didn't get a picture of the tubing courses but they were sweet! Only in Texas would they make snow runs inside a hotel.
Kung Fu Panda came out to bust a move for us.
In a very Disneyland/world fashion, there was a bit of waiting in lines. So we took the opportunity to take some pictures.
To keep the ice from melting they keep the area at a frigid 9 degrees so they give you parkas to keep you warm (I was so grateful that I left Mila with my mom because frankly all the other babies were ticked to be so cold.) We felt like we were on a "Christmas Story" as seen here.
Pretty cool huh? Kind of a shame though to have so much ice in Texas when experiencing such a bad drought.
They even made an ice slide. You can get going pretty fast on an ice slide.
And an ice potty. Pretty cold.
And they had a beautiful manger scene at the end to help remind us all of the reason for the season. Well done Gaylord Hotel!
